Two men beat up another over a deer dispute.
Michigan authorities are searching for two men they say beat up a fellow hunter in a dispute over who was the rightful owner of a harvested deer on the state’s firearms season opener Tuesday.
As unbelievable as it sounds, it happened to Patrick Mulligan while he was hunting in Mason County. After hearing shots and downing a buck that came running his way, he was attempting to drag it out when two other men approached. What happened next is pretty crazy. Hear him tell the story in the video below.
Unbelievably, it isn’t the first time this sort of thing has happened to the Mulligan family while hunting either. “I’ve heard about it in the past about people fighting over deer. Years ago, a guy drew a gun on my dad after they shot at the same der,” Patrick’s dad, John, told the news station.
The incident happened off Campbell Road in Mason Township and the suspects were driving a silver Dodge pickup. The attackers were in their 20s and one had a beard. The Mason County Sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information to call 231-843-3475
Hopefully they can find this guy’s attackers and give him his buck back soon!
